Chennai, Mumbai, and Delhi trailed with a price hike of 6.8, 3.1, and 1.7 percent, respectively. As many as 43 of 50 cities witnessed a year-on-year increase in property prices during the fourth quarter of 2022-23, according to the 50-city Housing Price Index (HPI) published by the National Housing Bank (NHB).Īmong the major metros, Kolkata led the charge with a jump of 11 percent, followed by Ahmedabad at 10.8 percent, Bengaluru at 9.4 percent, Pune 8.2 percent, and Hyderabad at 7.9 percent.
